How the f&$k did nobody tell me Rush was playing on Colbert??!! I just found out today!! Yeah, I realize that it already happened!! Yeah, I'm pretty pissed that I missed it!!
I'm not gonna blame my intern for this one, 'cause she's been on vacation (unpaid) for the past two weeks or so after her herculean efforts to transcribe the blog entries from MySpace.

yea, i am one of the guilty for not informing you of this grand cultural event. yes, the show was great;all the build-up, etc. and ESPECIALLY the pre-song interview! neil peart proved to be not just the brilliant lyricist he is(and HE IS!! don't even front! over 30 years of lyrics and not ONE "love song"!!?!?! hell, dylans been at it for almost 50 and he hasn't even approached the subject of dragons!! unless you include suze rotolo's sister in "ballad in plain D"...) was i pissed that colbert(he of massive o'reilly fascination) felt obliged to jump out in front of them while they were STILL PLAYING?!?!! fuck yea!! or cuts too a freakin' COMMERCIAL BREAK?!?!!! blasphemy, goddammit(heh,heh..get it?)!!!!so, mr. colbert, you melon-headed nerf, unnerstand now why they didn't appear on t.v. for 34 years?? well, all told, it was super-duper, and complimented the previous weeks feature on the lads in rolling stonehenge(yes, it's THAT OLD!) made me all weepy and nostalgic for when i first heard them, learned to air drum to "by-tor and the snow-dog", and later form a band( a trio, natch)to perform "limelight" and "subdivisions" before drooling high school compadres, jocks and nerds alike."a farewell to kings"? not anytime soon, i pray. let their geek flag fly!!!
